Pankaj Kalra has 25 years of experience and a demonstrated track record of working across multiple sectors. His functional skill set includes expertise in M&A, fundraising (both onshore and offshore), accounting, internal controls, procurement and financial modelling. Prior to joining Essar, he was CFO of Cairn Oil & Gas, and has been associated with Reliance, Aircel, Idea, American Tower and EY. Pankaj is a rank holder Chartered Accountant and a Company Secretary, with a Bachelor’s degree in commerce from Sri Ram College of Commerce, New Delhi.

Bhuwan Chanra Tripathi

Non-Executive Director

Mr. Tripathi is a transformational leader with over 40 years of experience in the hydrocarbon sector. He steered the gas sector in India and played a key role in accelerating the country towards a low-carbon economy. He has over 12 years of board experience, with 10 years as Chairman and Managing Director of GAIL (India) Ltd. 

He has also served as the Chairman for Brahmaputra Cracker & Polymer Ltd; Member Board of Directors for Petronet LNG; Chairman of the Board of Mahanagar Gas Ltd; Chairman of the Board of Indraprastha Gas Ltd; and Director of Gail Global Singapore PTE Ltd. He has diverse experience of managing various joint venture and subsidiary companies.

Mr Tripathi is one of the foremost energy strategists of the country and is credited with transforming GAIL into a multi-asset multinational portfolio company. During his tenure as Chairman and Managing Director, the physical assets of the company increased three-fold, turnover rose 300% and PAT increased 200%.

Mr Tripathi is an active participant and speaker at various global conferences and forums including the World Economic Forum, Gastec, Ceraweek, etc. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Allahabad.

Anuradha Chaudhuri

Ms. Anuradha Chaudhuri is a highly accomplished corporate governance and finance veteran with over 35 years of elite leadership experience within the energy sector, primarily at the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). Widely recognized for her expertise in fiscal strategy, risk mitigation, and digital enterprise transformation, she culminated her stellar public-sector career as the Chief Internal Audit of ONGC, superannuating from the post in July 2024

Throughout her tenure, Ms. Chaudhuri served as a key institutional anchor, holding critical portfolios including Head of Finance for key producing assets, regional coordinator, and head of corporate process audits. As Chief Internal Audit, she successfully modernised the company’s oversight landscape by establishing forward-looking digital systems Furthermore, she spearheaded the successful transition of complex Joint Venture Accounting for 20 major blocks from manual operations to integrated SAP networks. An expert in managing high-level public accountability, Ms. Chaudhuri has consistently engaged with the Audit Committee, the Board, and regulatory bodies to resolve complex audit mandates with the Comptroller and Auditor General (C&AG) of India and Parliamentary secretariats.

Ms. Chaudhuri holds a Chartered Accountancy qualification from the ICAI, an MBA in Financial Management, and a Master of Commerce from Calcutta University. She continues to remain actively associated with key regulatory bodies as a Fellow Member of the ICAI and a member of The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
